London Bridge is closest; Southwark is also fairly close; both are on the Jubilee Line and London Bridge is also on the Northern Line. It's possible to walk from Blackfriars (District, Circle); it takes about 20 minutes.

Many buses cross London Bridge (17, 21, 35, 40, 43, 47, 48, 133, 149, 501, 521); the 344 crosses Southwark Bridge and the 381 goes along Southwark Street.

Part of the YAPC::Europe 2000 pub crawl, location for heretics meetings, and the occasional official one too; no bar food in the evenings, though. However, in the summer you can sit outside, which is nice.
