Perl Developer for Web 2.0 Start-up



Salary: up to £45,000 pa + benefits/incentives



Web 2.0 start-up requires skilled perl developers with experience of large, 
modular OO perl applications. You will work on the front-end interface, the 
server-side APIs and the underlying storage technologies to complete our 
service offering, bring it to market and make it a success. We seek 
motivated, intelligent candidates with perl as their primary skill who can 
make a significant contribution to our business and enjoy doing it.

Required Skills

- OO Perl in large structured applications

- SQL (ideally MySQL)

- Is enthusiastic about following good practices and writing high-quality 
maintainable code, not "making do"

- Is un-phased by new problems, and adept at using resources such as CPAN 
and mailing lists to solve them



Desirable Skills

- HTML/CSS

- mod_perl

- Subversion/CVS

- Test-driven Development

- Template Toolkit

- SOAP, XML

- JavaScript

- Linux



You must be in the United Kingdom with permission to work for a minimum of 
12 months to apply.
