Based in West London, Europe's fastest growing home entertainment
subscription service is seeking a Perl Developer to work in the Technical
Development team. Working in it's vibrant head office you will join a
company which has recently placed second in the prestigious Tech Track 100
league table for fastest growing UK businesses and a market leader in the
DVD rental market

 

As a Perl Developer, your key objective will be implementing and maintaining
existing and new products and services across all business platforms.
Additionally your core responsibilities will include:  

 

*               Contributing to the quality of delivery including the
development, integration, test and release infrastructure

*               To work with 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure that software is
efficiently implemented

*               To contribute to technical consultancy and advice to the
technical and management teams as required

 

It is anticipated that in order to be successful in this role you will be
able to demonstrate: 

 

*         2 years+ application development using object oriented Perl on
Unix platforms

*         Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used
SQL database product

*         Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies

*         Excellent communication skills
