Hello,

This is my first time posting on here, so hope I get the format etc. correct...

ScanSafe is the first and largest global provider of SaaS Web Security, ensuring a safe and productive Internet environment for organizations. ScanSafe solutions keep viruses and spyware off corporate networks and allow organizations to control and secure the use of the Web and instant messaging.

We are very much a technology company, with our technical team right at the heart of what we do.

There is a requirement for a Perl Web Developer / Programmer to join the Operations team, with the core requirement to build and maintain web applications written in Perl. It is also key that you have strong Linux skills (Redhat / CentOS) and associated experience (SQL, web front end skills with HTML, CSS etc.). As a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills you will be highly regarded within the team. We are moving to new offices May 25th (Tottenham Court Road) to cope with the increase in staff numbers here.

In return you can expect to be a leading part of the Operations team, working on different projects as we continue to grow.

Technical Skills (Required):


 *   Excellent Perl programming experience in a web environment
 *   Minimum of three years RedHat or CentOS Linux systems administration experience in a fast paced environment (e.g. dot-com, ISP or SaaS)
 *   Excellent developer SQL knowledge with either MySQL, PostGreSQL or Oracle
 *   Excellent HTML/CSS/JS knowledge for designing graphical interfaces
 *   Good knowledge of TCP/IP and network fundamentals

Technical Skills (Beneficial):


 *   Ability to write Python code
 *   Experience of deploying and supporting Java applications in Apache Tomcat
 *   Good bash scripting (sed, awk) for automation of repetitive tasks
 *   Ability to analyse packet captures
