I am looking for a talented Perl contractor to work on a multilingual Web
2.0 CMS system at a media client.
The rate is in the range £330-350 per day and the start date would be in the
next couple of weeks.
Our working day is 7 hours and is in a friendly, medium-sized team that
rewards innovation and risk-taking.

Location:
London W1.

Company:
A well known public broadcaster.

Technology:
The system is written using XHTML, Dojo Javascript and Flash on the front
end rendered using XML templates to provide a sophisticated user interface.
The backend is Perl on Linux and the two communicate using HTTP REST and
JSON.
The published web pages are rendered using XML, XSLT and Template Toolkit.
The core Perl application uses CGI::Application, Class::DBI, Template
Toolkit and Postgresql database.
There are a number of satellite systems using Java, Catalyst Perl, Atom
feeds and bespoke Perl applications.
The application uses UTF-8 character set encoding throughout and currently
produces web stories in 19 languages.
Automated testing using Test::More and Selenium frameworks.

Nice to haves:
Experience with BBC Forge framework (Java and PHP).
Fluency in one or more foreign languages.
Amazon Web Services cloud computing.
Google App Engine.
