Hi all,

We're looking for an experienced Perl developer to join our Backend
Development Team for a 3 month contract to work on our Unit Test frameworks.
Reporting to the Backend Team Manager, successful candidates will be
passionate about Perl and Test Driven Development.

The Role:
---------
* Build Unit Test Frameworks for our applications
    o  APIs to simplify testing
    o  Performance & coverage tools
* Whip our test suites into shape, considering:
    o  Performance
    o  Maintenance
    o  Coverage
* Update our automated build systems
* Educate the Backend Dev team on TDD & use of the frameworks
* Ensure test suites are kept up-to-date & passing
* Define the team¹s testing processes with the Backend Team Manager
 
Essential Skills and Requirements:
----------------------------------
* An excellent understanding of Perl & Linux conventions
* Previous experience building test frameworks in Perl
    o  Test::* modules
    o  Hudson (or similar build systems, eg: Buildbot)
    o  Selenium
* Knowledge of CPAN modules and frameworks, particularly:
    o  DBI, DBIx::Class, Catalyst, Template Toolkit and Moose
* Some knowledge of Web UIs (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) & APIs (JSON & XML)
* GIT
* Apache + mod_perl / FCGI
* An understanding of Agile development methodologies
* Exposure to JavaScript frameworks (ideally YUI & jQuery)
 
We are looking for candidates that:
* Are passionate about Perl & TDD
* Are good communicators with good writing skills
* Have a healthy dose of common sense and initiative
* Have a great sense of humour and attitude
