Good afternoon,

Our client based in London is actively looking to recruit a Perl
Developer on a permanent basis.

Role:                Perl Developer

Location:         London 

Salary:             client will pay the right money for the right person
- BONUS + BENEFITS

Role and responsibilities:

 

The Perl Frameworks developer will work within one of the three scrum
teams and will help enhance the business logic and database processing
of the API using LAMP technologies (Linux Apache Mysql Perl). 

 

The candidate will have had experience of working in fast-paced web
development teams and have a track record of delivering on-time and to
specification.

 

 

Technical Skills:

The successful candidate is required to have the following technical
experience:

*	Perl - Proven track record working with a full understanding of
object oriented Perl and comfortable writing classes
*	Linux - working knowledge of Linux systems in a web-oriented
context 
*	Experience of writing and maintaining within a scalable
architecture

 

The following technical skills are also desirable:

*	Linux - knowledge of Linux systems down to kernel level
*	Database administration and replication - particularly with
MySQL
*	Web services
*	Cloud computing (AWS)
*	Image manipulation (Image::Magick)
*	Working knowledge of languages such as C, C++, Java or .NET
*	Network architecture - from ethernet through TCP/IP to HTTP and
high-level protocols
*	General awareness of front-end technologies (especially
HTML::Mason, JQuery) including latest developments (css3, HTML5)

 

Personal Skills:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

 

*         creativity and flair for creating efficient robust and well
structured perl modules

*         a track record of strong productivity in a development
environment

*         a well organized individual

*         a clear communicator will all levels of the technology
department (from colleagues to CTO)

*         able to ensure consistent IT standards are followed

*         able to work as part of a team

*         awareness of agile development methodologies

Personal Skills:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:
