Perl Developer – Permanent (£40-50k plus bonus and benefits) – Moonfruit.com

Moonfruit.com a rapidly growing internet software company based in central London (W1W), whose service has been used to build over 3,500,000 sites over 10 years (1 million in the last year alone!)

Having just relaunched moonfruit.com using the fabulous PerlDancer, we are seeking an experienced Perl developer to join our Agile development team in our central London office (Oxford St).

You must have a solid understanding of object oriented programming and a familiarity with web frameworks, 3 or more years as a Perl developer, with a degree/or equivalent in computer science. Experience of NoSQL datastores and ecommerce/billing systems would be a bonus. Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and Sybase would be helpful, though there are no sysadmin responsibilities in this role. And you must be awesome. (Awesomeness will be rewarded!).

You will work in a dynamic mixed skill development team, using Scrum to deliver new product features every 4-6 weeks under the direction of the CTO. You will be comfortable using different technologies/languages as necessary to meet overall team objectives, though remain an expert in your area of experience. You will have the opportunity to lead development cycles, provide creative solutions to challenging problems, and integrate with other industry leading products/services via API (e.g. Facebook Connect, OAuth, eBay, etc.).

This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting award-winning company (BBC, Web User, PC Advisor) that care about developing their people and investing in its culture and has its sights set for explosive growth over the next couple of years.
