CTO/IT Director/CIO/ Technical Director is needed for a rapidly expand Web Business, this software company who have seen fantastic growth over the last couple of years doubling the revenue year on year. They sit in a very competitive environment, regarded as an industry standard business in their sector, with the expansion to new markets and the development of their mobile site, now is a great time to lead the technical revolution within this major brand.

They have a current technical team 10 + and are looking to double this very quickly, both their infrastructure and development functions (Perl)

This role requires a lot of business acumen and strategic overview.

Responsibilities

* Setting and achieving the delivery of technical targets including new applications (Perl based).
* Along with the development side you will be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure, including a detailed understanding of their architecture.
* Planning and guiding the overall team and increasing and seeing progress within the team.
* Understanding of Perl (but they are open to candidate who have a good grasp of Open Source)

A fresh approach for this team would see you tackle with a confident and measured approach, you will need to hit the ground running and uptake the strategy and direction of their technical roadmap early on.

The ideal candidate will come from a progressive web based business that has seen dramatic growth with you at the forefront on both a technical and strategic basis.
