Technical Architect / Lead modular OO apache mod_perl Perl Developer
Salary £45,000 - £60,000
Location: City, London

Exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading Perl Development Houses - based in the City, EC4V (Mansion House tube) 

The role offers an excellent chance to work with/ head up a team of like-minded individuals experts in Perl Development writing some of the latest robust, scalable, cutting edge Software for use by high availability high traffic Web facing site and corresponding back-end services with a user-base potentially in the Millions Globally. Project areas including: large, modular OO Perl applications, front-end interface development, server-side APIs and the underlying backend & storage technologies. 

Highly skilled, motivated, intelligent Perl Developers are required & in return, aside from excellent development projects furthering your knowledge, an excellent team and working environment you can also expect excellent remuneration for your development contribution 

Required skills: 	
- OO Perl in large structured applications 
- SQL (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Good development practices, high-quality maintainable code
- Adept at problem solving & delivering solutions requiring lateral thinking around difficult scenarios 
- Knowledge of CPAN and mailing lists/ resources 

Desired skills: 	
- XHTML/ CSS
