An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of Perl developers to join a world leading e-commerce company. Operating from a headquarters in London, the appointed Perl developers will be tasked with developing and improvement of back-end development projects.

This organisation is a market leader in terms of growth and success year-on-year and the appointed Perl developers will have an excellent opportunity to work for a true market giant. The client offer a fantastic working environment and the successful Perl Developers will be exposed to the latest technologies, frameworks & methodologies in application development.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for software development and must also be a good communicator (Both written and verbal). Perl knowledge is of course essential, with the knowledge of newer CPAN modules and frameworks is highly desirable (preferably: DBI, DBIx::Class, Catalyst, Moose, Template Tool Kit).

Requirements:
*Server-side Perl development experience
*SQL/RDBMS
*Version Control Systems e.g. GIT
*Open-Source Familiarity
Highly desirable:
*Experience developing web-based interfaces in HTML and CSS, with API experience in JSON & XML.
*Proven experience building / testing high-availability applications
*Experience with AJAX / Javascript / JS Framework
*Experienced with SOA and the challenges this may present
*One or more additional JVM-based language
*Experience of Ruby (specifically the cucumber test framework)
Understanding of the following would also be beneficial:
*Perl & Linux conventions
*Message Queues
*Testing frameworks within Perl
*Refactoring
*Apache/FCGI & Plack
