Calvin: “You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You
have to be in the right mood.”
     Hobbes: “What mood is that?”
     Calvin: “Last-minute panic.”

So it’s that time of year again, the nights are growing long, the
mornings are growing cold and people who should know better once
again decide to organize a conference. That’s right it’s time for
this years London Perl Workshop. So lets get down to the details,
because we haven't much time ...

When?

Saturday 9th of December (exact times to follow)

Where?

Westminster University, London (Thanks again!)
http://www.wmin.ac.uk/page-7679-smhp=4459

What?

This year we decided that the theme of “Last Minute Perl” would be
interesting, maybe you’ve solved a problem at the last minute with
Perl or else you’ve decided to help the organizers of a conference
organized at the last minute by submitting your talk nice and
quickly.

What can you do?

If you want to attend, please put the date in your diary and we’ll
rig up a registration system in the next few days (we are putting
this announcement out deliberately early for those who need to
book travel/accomodation).

If you’d like to speak, please send a mail with following details,

     * Title of talk.
     * Your name and a brief bio if possible.
     * A brief outline of the talk.
     * Any URL’s you’d like us to link to (e.g. your homepage or
company).
     * How long you’d like, to keep this simple please choose either
5 minutes (a lightning talk – always popular!), 25 minutes or
       55 minutes.

To,

     lpw-2006-talks at london.pm.org

The deadline for submissions is Monday 20 November 2006, and we'll
let you know if the talk has been accepted in under a week. However
please if you can submit sooner, it would be appreciated.

Lastly, if you feel like helping out on the day with any of the many
odd jobs that need going please also email lpw-2006-talks at london.pm.org,
to volunteer.

Thanks for reading and we hope to see lots of you there,

The LPW 2006 Organisers.
