Mail body munging: state of the art?

We're trying to "mark up" email too: 
http://blog.thegoo.org/2006/01/email-meets-web-meets-console.html.

All we need is a simple f/milter that can add/edit content to the email on 
the way to the recipient. Will Mail::Audit do the trick here?
