Run, don't walk.  In the opposite direction, very fast.  Certainly don't
look at the code, nor look too closely at what the developers regard as a
development release cycle.

In fairness, this is based on working with the 1.x codebase.  But really,
I despair at anything even loosely based on that.  Too many times I'd try
and sensibly refactor a bit of it, then end up having to look at far too
much of it because it impacted on a design bug, or I'd try to fix a bug,
and get mired in poorly structured/implemented code making fixing the bug
more work than it should be,
