And yes, I know that dealing with the cases I described is just a  
natural consequence of writing the interpreter in a way that closely  
echoes the original. I'm probably just enjoying exploring BBC Basic  
arcana. You know, it's like we weren't actually talking about it but  
I wanted to bring it up anyway :)
