Except of course that Turing et al worked for the government and they
invested in expertise and intellectuals, where as Reid wants to hand
off the problem to the usual cabal of giant government service
companies, IBM or Microsoft.

If they were at all serious they would have a) head hunted Bruce
Schneier and b) actually listlened to experts instead of snake oil
salesmen.
