We couldn't find the pub monkey when we needed to spank him.

Just in case you forgot the (obviously heretical) social meeting is
tomorrow.

You may get lucky and get to buy me beer and hear me rant about all the
things that have annoyed me this week, otherwise you'll just have to put
up with the live porn show graciously provided by our colleagues from
that place that used to be somewhere near Old Street. Oh wait that was
the other meeting.

Hello,

Regardless of any heretical goings on which you may have been
distracted by the one true London Perl Mongers Social Meeting will be
taking place next week on Thursday 8th March 2007. Sadly The Star was
not available so, in the recommendation of the guv'ner there I have
booked the function room at The Antelope:

http://london.pm.org/meetings/locations/antelope.html
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/63/631/Antelope/Belgravia

We'll be in the upstairs room. Please do turn up as I managed to
persuade the landlady to waive the room booking charge since we don't
have a budget to speak of and are lovely and all. :)

As I understand it we may even have a guest appearance from The Wistow
as he might even be in the country at the time. Fancy that. Hope to
see y'all there.

cheers,

Adam - London PM Pub Minion

Now the standard blurb ...

Social meetings are a chance for people to meet up face to face for a
quiet drink (alcoholic or not) A fair chunk of Perl is talked at the
meetings, but also people who have no interest in the language often
pop along to socialise. There's no charge to enter, no agenda, and we
tend to think of it more as pleasant drinks rather than any serious
endeavour.

People normally turn up after work, and many stay until closing time.
Food is normally consumed at the pub by those wanting nourishment
though sometimes small groups of people head off for food either
during or after the meeting.

Location

Eaton Terrace is just off the part of The Kings Road north east of
Sloane Square. The Royal Court theatre is on the east side of Sloane
Square.

By Tube

Sloane Square (District/Circle) 1/10 Mile

Victoria (District/Circle/Victoria) 2/3 Mile

By Bus

The 211 route goes to and from Hammersmith and Victoria via Sloane Square.
