Yeah, but that probably works best when there's widespread consensus  
about what some of the right ways are. At some point TMTOWTDI drifts  
imperceptibly into balkanisation; a philosophy designed to let you  
choose the best tool for the job becomes the justification for  
everyone inventing their own tools.

We do take TMTOWTDI to extremes sometimes don't we? Look at the huge  
pile of modules that any interesting problem domain ends up obscured by:

Mail::  667
XML::   917
Class:: 644

It's a fantastic wonderland of interesting code for us veterans. For  
newbies it's a big scary forest.
