Actually, it was banned. I could not longer re-subscribe to the list,
nor could send or receive emails from there.

Like I said in my original email, I wanted to ask for apology from the
entire list, and explain what I felt about it after all this time. And
I had something else to say (the perl-begin email). So I think it was
a good idea to contact the entire list and explain what I felt (or at
least thought so at the time).

Getting unbanned by emailing a moderator, without sharing my feelings
to the list, may have caused another ban or intermediate buns.
