I think Nick's probably comparing the turnout to previous dim sum
expeditions which have been (a) well attended, (b) in Chinatown, (c)
at lunchtime, but (d) on Thursdays.

Are there any dim sum places within easier reach of your office?  I've
been wanting to try Royal China, and there are several of those
scattered around London.
