It's ironic that for so long British beer was, in general, far superior
to any of the fizzy American Budweiser-a-like piss-foam mislabelled as
beer.

Fast forward a decade and many parts of the US (the good parts at least)
now have thriving microbrew cultures and some world class beers.  Meanwhile,
you struggle to find a proper beer in a UK pub among all the mass-market
McBeers.
