The previous incarnation of this book, UNIX Backup & Recovery, was 
invaluable for learning about Oracle backups and many other areas.  If you 
hate your sysadmin, give Oracle documentation.  If you love your sysadmin, 
give this book.

I disagree.  I've never known a sysadmin to go that cheaply.  Throw in a 
beer or two.
