Hi

I'm on the London list even though in Edinburgh because it appears to have 
intelligent discussion, a bit like BBC Radio 4.

The Edinburgh Perl mongers group  also has many talented people on board who 
have been  amazingly helpful, whilst I've been honing my Perl knowledge.
