mailman can do one of a) leave attachments and let the message through
b) bounce messages that have attachments c) strip all attachments and
let the message through if there is any plain text part remaining. We
have implemented c as this reduces the amount of spam that ends up in
the queue with the least amount of inconvenience to the most people. It
is possible IIRC that it is possible to specify that some sorts of MIME
parts are retained.
