Except when you don't. From the fine print...

"Onsite service is available for many desktop computers if the  
location of the Covered
Equipment is within 50 miles/80 kilometers radius of an Apple  
authorized onsite service
provider located in a country listed in section 7(d)."

So if you have a laptop, or the wrong sort of desktop, or live out  
range of a service site, you're buggered.
