That was the day that Reddit jumped the shark, for me at least.

I read that thread, and even commented on it.  But at some point I realised
that I was commenting more on the stupid comments that other people had posted
than the original article.  I've now given up on Reddit for anything but
LOLcats and being insulted by random strangers.

For a short while it was a great place to go for a sensible and (mostly) 
intelligent discussion.  Then it got Dugg.
