Pretty fair assessment. Working with Packt was weird. I *think* I had
an editor, but I'm not sure. Nothing was ever edited, and I don't think
anyone on the team was a native speaker of English. Towards the end of
the project, someone internally was reviewing the code. Since this was
their first Perl book, they needed help setting up Catalyst on Vista
*sigh*. While I was researching that for them, they just sent the book
to the printer (with an older version of Chapter 3 for some reason).
Uh, what?

Writing a book is stressful.

Anyway, to make the *reading* part slightly less stressful, please take
a look at:

  http://catwiki.toeat.com/thebookerrata

and:

  http://jrock.us/Catalyst-Book-Code-20080131.tar.gz

There you can find runnable versions of every application after every
chapter, and the list of errata. That will hopefully aid in the
enjoyment of the book :)
