Does LWP abstract the INET socket completely?

If I have an object of the LWP::UserAgent class that has just completed a
request, how would I go about getting the local socket so that I might peer
into its taste sockaddr() goodness? It appears that the class abstracts the
IO::Socket::INET object completely out of existence after a request is completed...
