Apache 2.2.x, mpm_worker, and mod_perl

Hi all,
I wondered what the state of play was for mod_perl, with a threaded (mpm_worker)
Apache 2.2.x?

Is anyone using such a setup on a large production basis who can report it
works well enough? Are there any gotchas to be aware of?
