I missed this one, but a lot of people I know got it. And what really
depresses
me is how the spammer reacted to people trying to patiently educate him;
from
another source:

    2. Sent this to 5638 of my closest CPAN friends. As far as
mass emails are concerned, this one really isn't that bad.
       At least I was self-deprecating.

(It's not *really* spam if it's only a few thousand people.)

    3. I receive emails that are part of a wide casting of the
net and I either delete them or tell the person that I'm
       not interested.

(I get spam, and that gives me the right to send spam.)

So [elided], I'm sorry I pissed you off but as far as the world
is concerned what with global warming, terrorism, and the
sub-prime fallout, this doesn't fall up there. But I did like
your response - parts are very funny - and if you're ever here
in the States, it's my shout.

(The world is a shit place, and that makes spamming acceptable.)

Do not work for this spammer.

Simon
