Related to that was the time IIRC when, to simply things, our (then) glorious
leader Mark told us that we were all drinking Special, so went to the bar at
the Founder's Arm and ordered:

Mark: 20 pints of special please
Them: <nod>
Mark: And a pint of lemonade
Them: Are you joking sir?

IIRC Mark resolved this question by proffering his credit card.
