perl bless/overload performance problem on RHEL

That only mentions

   Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v. 5 server)
   Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop (v. 5 client)

but I thought that they'd balled up a whole slew of their distributions.
Did they fix them too, or are they still slacking?

(And had Fedora for all Fedoras that ship with "perl"5.8.8?)
