Cheap places in central London?

You didn't do your research. There are reviews out there. I've had great
results booking Travelodges judiciously based on internet feedback.

The one on the outskirts of Nottingham near the B&Q was especially good.
Glasgow Braehead did what it said on the tin. There are ones with "avoid"
written all over them.

No experience of London. I'd go for new but commutable to London.
