Well, there's me, and a several others working in Publishing Services.

Perl products in our area are:
 * PIPS (programme metadata database).
 * Dynamite (client-facing: programme metadata feeds)
 * Media Selector (client-facing: media access/security), which is very
Modern Perl (thanks mainly to pdcawley)

There's other odd projects out there too.

No new Perl projects though.

Don't think the News homepage has anything to do with Perl these days.
