New mailing list not respecting digest settings

Please would it be possible to reinstate the digest settings of the old 
list? Getting every message singly is a problem, at least for me.

Would it be possible to improve on the old system and send a daily 
digest (what the web page promises), rather than additionally sending a 
digest whenever (I think) ten messages have been accumulated?
