London.pm Teach In

What

The London.pm Teach In is a day of free Perl training by Dave Cross.

We'll be covering a wide range of topics including ORM, templating, testing and benchmarking. We'll also be looking at object-oriented design in Perl, as well as lots of other other cool stuff.

Who

This is an intermediate/advanced level course for existing Perl developers. You should already be familiar with references, objects and tests. The purpose of the day is to take things to the next level.

When

Saturday 2nd June. Registration is at 9.30, we'll start at 10 and finish at 4. Lunch will be provided by our generous sponsor BBC Backstage.

Where

Broadcast Centre
BBC Media Village
White City.

Take the Central line to White City. When you exit the station, cross the road and turn right. The Broadcast Centre is the building right at the back of the campus, behind the fountains.

Ok, we now have 50 people signed up and 40 people on the waiting list. I think it's very unlikely that more than a few of the people on the waiting list will get places, so I'm closing registration completely.

Hopefully the day will be a raging success and we'll do more similar days soon. Watch this space.

Dave Cross is the owner of Magnum Solutions Ltd, a London-based open source consultancy. He founded london.pm and is somewhat responsible for the nms project. He wrote 'Data Munging with Perl' and co-wrote 'Perl Template Toolkit'. Dave recently stood down after four years herding the Perl Mongers group leaders for The Perl Foundation and is looking forward to a good rest.
