Studied Maths & Computation at New College, Oxford but eventually escaped mostly unscathed to regain partial sanity studying a 2 year postgrad in performance at the Royal Academy of Music. Now leading a confusing double life in London doing music by night, Linux by day.

I've been playing with computers since I was about 16 - so that'll be about 26 years of staring at some kind of screen most days. The last ten years have been increasingly dominated by Perl.

A multifacteced techi (aka jack of all trades). Spent a lot of time with VMS - no OS wars please. Has used Perl on VMS RiscOS and Windoze. First visit to london.pm in Jan 04.

A geek of all things web, David moved to London in 2007 after a lifetime of swearing he would never work in the city. He currently works at Yahoo! where he writes lots of CSS, some HTML and JavaScript and gets to play with Perl once in a while. David is coping by building an exercise in silliness using Catalyst that will provide a platform for demoing various web technologies.

Often found in #london.pm, but also on mailing list. Works in car rental software, on a hill above Gatwick. Hasn't been to socials because of a fervent belief that it is the source of all evil in the world. And the colour Lilac. Should be seen at a few a year now though.

God of perlmonks . Hangs out on #london.pm of late, but ignores the mailing list. Doesn't write full sentences on in his bio. Could touch-type, before he moved from the US to Germany. Now lives in Abingdon, but is not a Sophosite -- his better half, castaway, is. Could never spell. Has lately been hacking on OCR::PerfectCR, DVB-T (freeview, for those not in the know), and strange things with wires sticking out of them that look like they will set the house on fire.

has worked with computers for far too long, to wit, first published article "Using machine code graphics on the BBC Micro" in Beebug magazine 1983. Ah, the days of self-modifying assembler to save op cycles :-] Started using Perl to munge sys admin stats on VAX/VMS because it was easier than gawk or DCL. Has been delivering business systems that use Perl and a web interface since 1999. Usually found lurking in the environs of MiltonKeynes.pm.
