We currently have a position for a Software Engineer in the World
Service Future Media team (28-36k).

maintaining one of the world's most unique websites, providing an online
news service in 33 languages. The site constantly evolves to remain at
the forefront of the medium, while fulfilling its aim to be the world's
reference point for authoritative and impartial news and information.

Join the team engineering a wide range of interactive websites using
increasingly automated, technical solutions. Working to agreed
specifications, you'll help define editorial direction, design,
technical standards and timescales.


- Perl/mod_perl
- Apache
- Unix 
- Relational databases
- Structured programming methodologies (OO, modular) and coding
- Appreciation of Service Oriented Architectures and Web Services.
- Awareness of Web 2.0 and technologies which lay behind it.
