My client a leading Investment Bank based in the City is looking someone
to assist in expanding their framework and Portal services within the
application hosting service they provide to the business. They are
seeking someone who has strong Perl skills, preferably used in managing
a large global change controlled environment. The role will involve
building a service management framework for the TIBCO EMS utility
service and integrate that into a new Portal. The successful candidate
will have a very good understanding of Unix environments, command lines,
shell scripting and process management any experience with TIBCO EMS
would be advantageous. Essential skills are Unix (Solaris and Linux),
excellent OO Perl , XML, RPC, Unix Shell, Scripting, file and process
manipulation, SQL (Oracle / MySQL), Strong UI Design and Web Development
skills (HTML, JS, Ajax). Desirable skills for the role include TIBCO
EMS, J2EE Application Servers ( BEA WebLogic / JBoss / WAS ), Web
Services (SOAP/REST), TT2, Agile, Test Driven Development, SVN and an
awareness of security and auditing practices. This is an excellent
