The role will entail developing new versions of a product to enhance the functionality, increase its performance, simplifying the maintenance, bug fixing and extending its integration capabilities. Working with Senior Developers to design and implement solutions that add value to the product and all its customers within frequent upgrade versions.

 

Essential Technical Skills:

 

- Understanding and experience of technology and development cycles

- Test driven development

- Web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript

- Object Oriented Perl

- SQL

- Source code management

This big player currently operate over hundreds sites for major global clients in the USA and Europe while offering challenging, creative, team-oriented environment where employees develop innovative solutions and receive recognition for accomplishments.

 

The role is within a multi-skilled technical team, where you will be responsible for developing the product to enhance functionality, increase performance and simplify maintenance. Designing and implementing solutions collaboratively to add value to the product and increase revenue for our customers in the most cost efficient way.

Leading projects, mentoring and reviewing other developers' work to ensure that stability, performance and security of the product is maintained.

 

Essential Technical Skills:

 

- Experience of technology and development cycles employing test driven development and source control

- Good knowledge of high availability systems (e.g. eCommerce, internet or similar) and associated challenges

- Object Oriented Perl, good knowledge of CPAN

- Commercial experience using SQL

- Prefer using frameworks and libraries than reinventing the wheel

- Experience working with Linux, Apache and mod_perl
