SENIOR Perl DEVELOPER ROLE (CONTRACT)

 

Job postings and specifications are much of a muchness for developers who
have been around for years so it really comes down to a few personal
preferences (client, project, location etc.) when deciding which role to
apply for. 

 

I'll keep this as short as possible.

 

My client is looking for a senior developer with a proven professional
experience in working on large scale web based applications. They must
possess a deep knowledge of OO Perl programming on Unix platforms, Linux,
Apache, mod_perl, MySQL or other widely used SQL database products. Ideally
some experience of software architecture. Experience of LAMP development
utilising Moose and DBl::Class and also some database experience. Someone
who is comfortable in digging into large scale codebase. Technical ability
is of utmost importance as you'll need to hit the ground running.

 

Preference given to programmers experienced in the following....

 

Moose 

Mason

PHP

JavaScript

DHTML

CSS

Other OO programming languages such as Java or C++

 

Awareness of the principals of agile development practices eg. Scrum and XP.
