Role OO PERL Developer with Unix
Start  5th May  2014 initially until 31 December 2014(likely to extend well into 2015)
Location: London
Rate: £380pd - £400pd
Our client a leading bank in the City is looking to hire an experienced OO PERL Developer. This is a great chance to add an investment bank to your CV as you do not require previous banking experience.
My client is looking a developer with enthusiasm and initiative that can own tasks and liaise with other technical teams. This role will suit someone who enjoys taking responsibility and taking forward an already business critical product.
Essential skills Object Oriented Perl Unix Shell Scripting - System administration Comfortable using Unix/Linux on the command line, Revision control systems (Subversion, branching and merging) Can build software from source; make autoconf, etc.
Desirable skills Perl modules: Template: Toolkit, Test: More, LWP, XML: LibXML Solid understanding and experience of WebLogic Server 10 or later Application and OS security SuSE and/or RedHat Linux Enterprise Server ExaLogic Experience with software development life cycle and change management in large enterprises Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS Experience with a system automation frameworks Java programming beneficial
