So says Wikipedia[1]:

   Terrorism is the systematic use of murder, injury and destruction or the
   threat thereof, to create a climate of terror to publicise political,
   nationalistic or religious causes, in order to coerce a wider audience into

I think that pretty much hits the current US/UK political process on the head.

As the saying goes: one person's terrorist is another's politician. Or
something like that :-)
