If this is a personal monitor then I suggest taking it to your local  
tip (Sorry "Household Refuse and Recycling Centre: http://tinyurl.com/ 
yutn89 ) off of Holloway Road.  There's a section where you can put  
monitors for recycling/reuse (stick "works fine" on a post it note on  
the front.)  Local charities come by the tip and take stuff away often.
