My least favorite interview was one where I'd visited for an informal 
chant and at the end was asked to bring a written (and costed) proposal on 
how I planned to approch the project...

Which doesn't sound too bad.

But this was in my days a molecular biologist and it was clear the best 
bits of all the candidates proposals would have become the basis of his 
next grant application(s).

I declined to attend.
