I was attending Dave's meeting as a heretic. And had no part in any fire.

The curious thing was that I was sitting in the Pembury Tavern when that
group "crawled" in. I'd not read that page until today. It seems rather
strange planning your celebratory day to be at a pub that's been non-
smoking since it re-opened. Or even attending it, if that was the official
purpose. (Although I rather like the Pembury Tavern because it has lots of
different beers, sensible prices on soft drinks and fruit juice, pint to line
glasses, no smoke, and very nice food. On the downside, I find it a faff to
get to Hackney Downs. I guess tomorrow and then Thursday we get to find out
what no-longer-smoking pubs are like. As the topic on #london.pm puts it:
  no more smoking in pubs! yay! next on the agenda telling jokes, dogs and
  blokes in cloth caps - welcome to WINE BAR WORLD
I hope that it doesn't come to this. I don't like wine bars.)
