It doesn't work for gardening either.

In fact the only job I've had where the customers give you clear
unambiguous instructions in a language spoken by more than three other
people was behind the bar, in a pub where everyone thought cocktails
were found on the rear end of male chickens.

Even then you get the occasional foreigner* who doesn't have a clue, but
at least they normally shut up and do as they're bloody well told when
you recommend a solution to their drinking problem**.

* defined as being anyone who wasn't there last week
** "drinking problem" == "i need a drink"

  I don't do .INI, .BAT, or .SYS files. I don't assign apps to files.
  I don't configure peripherals or networks before using them. I have
  a computer to do all that. I have a Macintosh, not a hobby.
