Need to learn C, best books?

Thanks to all the responses. I've ordered the K&R book which should be 
here shortly. My bookshelf is starting to look excessive (in terms of 
programming books).

Some of that XS code certainly looks daunting... *gulp* but I'm sure 
it'll look nicer (at least a little bit) once I've read up more.

Then I'll probably get a copy of Extending and Embedding Perl... Or just 
print off the XS perldocs...
