Your info is *almost* correct. Because he got his men at arms to do it,
and did not do it himself, it was accounted murder. For an aggrieved
husband himself to kill his unfaithful wife and her lover was perfectly
acceptable.
I was being sneaky in omitting the word 'himself' from the original
posting.
