I suppose things have been tightened up recently, plus GP home visits are now quite rare, but a GP 
cheerfully came to our hotel in Ipswich to sort out my daughter's asthma (this was in '92). We were 
on a business visit to BT at the time, and didn't become "ordinarily resident" in legal terms until 
at least a year later.
